About the Position
Under the limited supervision of the HR Liaison for OSES (Offender Supervision & Enforcement Services), the investigator conducts extensive background investigations for agent candidates, including preparation of the agent hire packet. The position requires flexibility to work a 28‑hour work week as determined by the supervisor.
Responsibilities- Conduct extensive background investigations for agent candidates.
- Prepare agent hire packets.
- Work flexible hours as determined by the supervisor based on a 28‑hour work week.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses.
- Or an associate’s degree plus two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (including Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience).
- Or a high school diploma plus four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (including Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience).
- Experience in probation and parole work.
- Certified law enforcement officer (active or retired).
- At least 10 years of experience in background investigation.
