Description

The Parking Services Financial Operations Analyst will be responsible for a variety of daily and monthly financial accounting duties including settlement account reconciliations and analysis, preparation of daily cash reports and related monthly documents, financial records maintenance, and monthly financial reporting. The position requires general knowledge of accounting principles.

The work is sedentary, may involve walking or standing, and may require lifting up to 10 pounds. Physical abilities may include balancing, feeling, fingering, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking. The environment involves exposure to no known environmental hazards and requires making major decisions involving people, resources, and property.

Essential Job Functions

  • Reconcile settlement A/R & credit card reports to detail aging daily.
  • Reconcile settlement cash receipts.
  • Create daily cash reports sent to accounting.
  • Prepare event reconciliation & balance settlements.
  • Maintain, reconcile, and audit iParc – Monthly Parking, Pay-in Lanes; T2 – Luke Pay Stations, Online Payments;
    Events – Handhelds, Tickets.
  • Input and maintain monthly occupancy reports.
  • Research misapplied payments and large multi-unbalanced payments from consumers.
  • Balance credit card payment machines and research credit card payment errors and batch errors.
  • Respond to routine inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance from City personnel regarding cash reporting and deposits.
  • Maintain 30-60-90 Accounts Receivable reports and perform collections as needed.
  • Perform other functions as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years related experience.
  • Valid South Carolina Class “D” Driver’s License.

  • Experience in a team, high‑paced results‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to review, classify, analyze data and exercise discretion in data classification.
  • Ability to provide guidance, assistance, and interpretation of procedures and standards to others.
  • Ability to apply principles of rational systems and exercise independent judgment to adopt or modify methods and standards as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software systems.
  • Ability to multitask on various daily duties and ad‑hoc assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to shift priorities as necessary in a high‑paced, results‑oriented environment.
  • Strong methodical problem‑solving ability and aptitude to organize large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
