Job OverviewThe Events and Recreation Lead is responsible for assisting with the overall amphitheater, farmers market and recreational programming operations; ensuring efficiency and high-quality customer service.
HoursThis is a summer seasonal, full-time position with hours varying between 30 to 40 hours per week, beginning mid‑May through early October. Must be available to work flexible shifts and days, including late nights and weekends.

Job Responsibilities- Assist Venue and Events Manager and Events and Recreation Supervisor with day-to-day operations, prioritization, and problem solving for the efficient and effective delivery of Dillon Amphitheater, Dillon Farmers Market and recreational programming.
- Provide oversight of all operations, facilities, and service work of the Dillon Amphitheater in the absence of the Venue and Events Manager and Events and Recreation Supervisor.
- Provide excellent customer service to the public, event attendees, vendors, coworkers and partners at all times. This includes having professional interactions, providing accurate information and having general knowledge of the Dillon Amphitheater and Town of Dillon events and happenings.
- Responsible for the setup, breakdown and maintenance of the amphitheater and farmers market, which may include, but is not limited to, staging and set up/teardown for amphitheater and recreation programming, street closures and openings, painting and repairs, tents and gates set up and teardown, stage and concert area set up and teardown, lighting set up and removal, signage placement, and setting up/tearing down security equipment and concessions/merchandise areas.
- Actively engage with amphitheater and farmers market vendors to foster a professional relationship. Assists with vendor load-in/load-out information and direction and ensures vendors properly clean their areas at the end of the event.
- Maintain cleanliness of venues before, during and after an event. Ensure all work areas and facilities are clean and safe for participants, guests and staff. This includes picking up, sorting, and moving trash and recycling; and cleaning up bathrooms, portable toilets, and other messes.
- Supervise events crew and delegate daily assignments to ensure efficient execution of each event.
- Administer and enforce company and departmental safety rules, operating procedures, policies, and regulations for employees, vendors and the general public.
- Set and monitor quality and service standards for staff.
- Maintain accurate program, activity, and equipment records. Must possess proficient recordkeeping skills and be able to perform basic sales transactions and merchandise inventory.
- Ensure vendors operate in accordance with the current health department and/or cottage food guidelines for all food products. Assess for safety and vendor compliance.
- Work closely with the Summit Fire Department with tent weight inspections and other requirements.
- Work closely with Summit County Environmental Health with vendor packets and inspections.
- Work shifts required to meet the needs of the amphitheater and events schedule. This includes late nights/early mornings, weekends and holidays.
- Duties may also include ticket and , participant registration and check-in, bag checking, light security, parking and traffic control, assisting with concessions and merchandise sales, doing inventory, accepting deliveries, and assisting with other town and recreation events.
- Operate different types of vehicles, including pickup trucks, utility vehicles and trailers. Unload and load equipment from trucks and vehicles.
- Purchase supplies and equipment for programs and activities.
- Act as a liaison with ticketing and box office leads.
- Assist with employee training regarding standard operating procedures and appropriate emergency response procedures.
- Adhere to event safety standards through crowd management training (provided).
- Responsible for responding to, communicating, and documenting incidents and emergency situations, including, but not limited to:
First Aid, severe weather, and missing child events. - Provide support…
