Job Overview: The Dillon Amphitheater Assistant House Systems Technician works directly with the House Systems Technician and production team to maintain equipment, perform diagnostics, mark equipment, conduct patching, and safeguard equipment inventory before and after events.
Hours: This is a summer seasonal, full-time position with hours varying between 30 to 40 hours per week, beginning early May through early October. Must be available to work flexible shifts and days, including late nights and weekends.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist House Systems Technician, Venue and Events Manager and Events and Recreation Supervisor with day-to-day operations, prioritization, and problem solving for the efficient and effective delivery of Dillon Amphitheater programming.
- Provide excellent customer service to the public, event attendees, coworkers, performers and partners at all times. This includes having professional interactions, providing accurate information and having general knowledge of the Dillon Amphitheater and Town of Dillon events and happenings.
Assist with loading and unloading equipment, props, and materials from trucks. Assist with the set-up of equipment according to stage plot, while ensuring safety requirements are met. Set up risers and musical equipment on stage and assist carpenters with scenery builds. Disassemble and pack away equipment after events. - Work closely with electricians and lighting technicians on maintenance of video, sound, and light production. Ensure the system operations are functioning properly.
- Assist with video, sound, and light production.
- Maintain cleanliness of venue and stage area before, during and after an event. Ensure all work areas and facilities are clean and safe for performers, crew, guests and staff. This includes picking up, sorting, and moving trash and recycling; and cleaning up bathrooms, portable toilets, and other messes.
- Monitor weather patterns on the day of and during events.
- Conduct routine inspections of maintenance in and around the facility and assist house technician in filing necessary work orders.
- Work and communicate clearly and professionally with the team, production manager, venue manager, promoter, production crews and performers to ensure a successful event.
- Ensure the proper care and handling of all Dillon Amphitheater audio equipment and rentals.
- In the absence of the House Systems Technician, direct and oversee loaders during the load-in/load-out process.
- Uncase and place equipment in compliance with the posted stage plot. Provide assistance if needed to internal and visiting audio technicians and crews.
- In the absence of the House Systems Technician, attend pre-calls with bands and promoter to help create run-of-show documentation.
- Position arriving trucks and buses while considering safety measures and overall flow of vehicles in event venue.
- In the absence of the House Systems Technician, supervise events crew and delegate daily assignments to ensure efficient execution of each event.
- In the absence of the House Systems Technician, administer and enforce company and departmental safety rules, operating procedures, policies, and regulations for employees and the general public.
- Work shifts required to meet the needs of the amphitheater schedule. This includes late nights/early mornings, weekends and holidays.
- Duties may occasionally include other facility setup, maintenance and breakdown duties, ticket and , participant registration and check-in, bag checking, light security, parking and traffic control, assisting with concessions and merchandise sales, and assisting with other town events and recreation events.
- Operate different types of vehicles, including pickup trucks, utility vehicles and trailers.
- Assist with the purchase of supplies and equipment, as needed.
- Adhere to venue safety standards.
- Responsible for responding to, communicating, and documenting incidents and emergency situations, including, but not limited to:
First Aid, severe weather, and missing child events. - Provide support to all facets of the events and recreation operations as assigned by supervisors.

Work Environment/Physical
Activities:
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Exposure to sun, heat, cold, dust, precipitation, fuel, grease, trash and other conditions and chemicals commonly found in an events and recreation environment.
- Must be capable of operating a variety of equipment, hand and power tools. Must be capable of safely operating and maneuvering vehicles and equipment.
