Our Electrical Products business unit in Smart Infrastructure develops low and medium-voltage technology and solutions for power systems.
We are looking for undergraduate students to join our 12-week Operations Leadership Development Program summer internship (May 18 – August
7) with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This internship will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our full-time two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles. This position will be based at our Roebuck, SC or Hingham, MA locations.
- Participating in hands-on assignments where you will tackle real-world manufacturing challenges, enhance plant productivity, improve operations, drive efficiency and sustainability, and fuel the growth of our business and strategic partnerships with vendors and customers.
- Analyzing production processes, developing and implementing process improvements using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies, project management, and quality assurance
- Material planning, purchasing and procurement, resource planning, and logistics.
Basic Qualifications
- Rising juniors or rising seniors (as of summer 2026) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in:
Industrial/Industrial Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related majors (must be enrolled as a student at the time of the internship). - Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) from May 18 to August 7, 2026
- Desire for a long-term career in manufacturing or a production environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Must be willing and able to relocate for the summer (housing stipend and mileage reimbursement are provided if required to relocate more than 50 miles from your permanent residence).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Prior internship experience, coursework, or projects related to continuous improvement, lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Kaizen, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and/or manufacturing workflows.
- GPA 3.0 or higher.
