Department at Aalberts,locatedin
Pageland,SC.The Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing is responsible formaintainingand developing best practices to produce the Copper Press product line. This includes but is not limitedto:updating drawings for parts and tooling, troubleshooting machine problems, development of standard work, andparticipatingin lean production activities. The Engineer will serve as an integral team member within the Manufacturing Engineering Group, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

- Evaluates and recommends changes in methods and procedures in assigned area of responsibility.
- Assesses new manufacturing technologies for potential investment.
- Specify andassistin the specification, procurement, and installation of machinery and tooling.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and inspection equipmentusing3D solidmodellingand 2D drafting software.
- Provide support in the form of troubleshooting tooling and machinery problems.
- Assistsin the development of maintenance (TPM) plans and instructions for all machinery in the department.
- Performs other special projects/tasks assigned by management.
- Participates in continuous improvement or problem/solving activities.
- Assistin the development and upkeep of Standard Work.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology preferred.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing basics (8 Wastes, TPM, Kaizen, SMED).
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software, Solid Edge a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Able to function in a highly collaborative environment and interact positively and openly with employees,supervisors and other departments.
- Able to work constructively in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Familiarity with BOM, Routings, and Time Studies.
- High levelof attention to detail
- Self-starter attitude and ownership mentality for projects.
- Willingness to continuously learn and expand responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Manager Reliability and Manufacturing Engineering.

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer work, data entry, and handling documents.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds, such as files, boxes, or product samples.
- Visual acuity to review detailed reports, tooling specifications, CAD drawings, and inventory data on screens and in print.
