About Bridge Brothers

Bridge Brothers is a leading manufacturer specializing in the design, engineering, fabrication, and construction of custom bridges. We serve a wide range of clients—from municipalities and national parks to energy companies and private developers. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, one‑of‑a‑kind bridge solutions that exceed expectations.

We’re a team of problem‑solvers, innovators, and builders who thrive on technical challenges and take pride in craftsmanship. When you join Bridge Brothers, you're not just joining a company—you’re helping to shape infrastructure that connects communities and stands the test of time.

Position Summary

Bridge Brothers is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Structural Steel Detailer to play a critical role in the creation of structural models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.

This is a senior‑level, hands‑on position focused on technical excellence, precision, and production output—not people management. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in steel fabrication, BIM modeling, and shop drawing development, along with a passion for accuracy and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with engineering, production, and operations to ensure our detailing output directly supports efficient fabrication and field installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed 3D structural models in Tekla Structures
  • Produce accurate fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and erection plans
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications into fabrication‑ready deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to resolve design conflicts and improve constructability
  • Partner with fabrication teams to clarify details and revise models as needed during production
  • Ensure all deliverables align with industry best practices in structural steel detailing
  • Perform quality checks on drawings and models to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Revise designs based on engineering updates, field feedback, or purchasing requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of detailing workflows and Tekla standards
  • Contribute to the refinement of internal detailing standards and best practices
  • Research and implement improvements in Tekla functionality, automation, and integration with fabrication processes
  • Utilize G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive, etc.) to support documentation and collaboration
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting, detailing, design, architecture, construction engineering, or fabrication
  • 3‑5+ years of experience in structural steel detailing
  • Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures (Tekla Power Fab experience a plus)
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, CNC equipment, and shop workflows
  • Ability to independently manage detailing workload across multiple projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
  • Self‑motivated, solutions‑oriented, and committed to high‑quality output
  • Schedule:

Monday–Friday (hours TBD), with overtime as needed
  • Employment Type:

    Full‑time, Exempt
  • Benefits:
Eligible after 90 days (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and paid holidays)
Why This Role

This is an opportunity to operate at a high technical level within a growing bridge fabrication company. You’ll have strong autonomy, meaningful project ownership, and the ability to directly influence fabrication efficiency and field execution — without the administrative burden of managing a team.

If you take pride in precision, build clean models, and enjoy solving complex structural challenges, we’d love to connect.

Join Bridge Brothers and help build what connects us.
