We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing operations at a large industrial facility in Graniteville, SC. This role focuses on electrical controls, industrial automation, and plant support, with responsibility for PLC programming, system troubleshooting, and electrical safety compliance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical expertise and the ability to manage projects, budgets, and contractors effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and support electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment
- Program and maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs, remote I/O, HMIs, and Rockwell Automation software
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues to minimize downtime
- Manage capital and expense budgets to support plant objectives
- Support industrial Ethernet communication networks and machine-level networking
- Ensure compliance with equipment safety standards, including arc flash requirements per NFPA 70E
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and maintenance technicians
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering and industrial automation
- Strong hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Automation software
- Proven PLC programming and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with industrial Ethernet communication and network architecture
- Knowledge of electrical equipment safety, hardware design, and component selection
- Strong work ethic with a self‑starter mindset
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience managing contractors and maintenance personnel
