Summary of Job:

The purpose of this position is to provide technical process engineering support at a new facility in Chester, South Carolina. The Process Engineer will report to the Plant Manager and lead the process engineering team to ensure the site’s success. The main responsibilities include optimizing cost, quality, productivity, and reliability through continuous improvement activities.

• Operate and monitor automated fiberglass coating lines to meet production targets
• Resolve process problems through continuous improvement activities
• Develop standard work and provide training to ensure consistent plant processes
• Commission new production equipment, monitor modifications, upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes
• Collaborate with Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Production Manager to improve plant efficiency
• Measure, test, and evaluate product characteristics
• Manage process changes from conception to successful product manufacturing
• Provide technical leadership for environmental monitoring and control processes
• Work closely with quality control and maintenance teams
• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
• 3-5 years of hands-on process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in wet-formed fiberglass mat process or similar industries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail
