LocationThis hybrid position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. This role is located at 2401 Faraway Drive, Columbia, SC 29223.
Government ClearanceThis position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, which requires applicants to be a U.S. Citizen.
Position PurposeThis position will function as a systems analyst representing the LEDS team and services as the POC for multiple efforts simultaneously. This will also include assisting with estimates, research and analysis, documentation, and guidance for real-time services across the organization.
What You'll Do- Ensure team members understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions, organizational standards are maintained, and applications are delivered according to project timeliness. Provide expert system knowledge, perform research, attend meetings, and review documents.
- Maintain and modify programs according to specifications. Code, compile, and implement application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Evaluate basic interrelationships in immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect another related area. 20% Test modified programs, create necessary test files and data, verify logic, debug, and write relevant documentation.
- Analyze production systems, recommend systems enhancements, provide instruction to production support team. Research customer issues and determine appropriate resolutions. Coordinate implementation of modifications or enhancements.
- Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Develop functional design and technical specifications, concept diagrams, and work flow diagrams and related procedures to process data using appropriate systems environment/platform. Document programs/procedures.
Customer-focused, project-oriented programming environment. Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need Required Education- Bachelor's degree in a job-related field
- Associate's degree plus an additional 2 years of job-related work experience for a total of 6 years of job-related work experience.
- 8 total years job-related work experience
- 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, web, and/or PC/LAN environment.
- Strong analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates logical abstract thinking and assimilating/adhering to project goals and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building.
- Familiar with project management concepts.
- Pays attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors etc.
- Strong knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools and their usage in the company.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs or Web Services.
- Knowledge of API Design and Documentation - primarily Swagger
- Ability to coordinate with both internal and external application development teams to deliver solutions that meet both business and technical needs.
- Ability to function in a large team environment and effectively prioritize multiple concurrent deliverables.
- Understanding of API Gateways - especially IBM Data Power.
- Experience retrieving and analyzing data using SQL, MQL, and Splunk.
- Understanding of health care payer systems is be preferred.
