Environmental Technician
We are seeking an environmental technician with 6 months-1 year of experience in pump maintenance, reading and tuning well fields or environmental sampling/monitoring. This technician will be responsible for traveling within the area to work at 1-3 landfills and support partner sites with routine and non-routine maintenance. The role involves tuning the wellfield and performing pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement.
The technician will also work extensively with SEMs and probes, which requires significant walking across landfills.
- Travel within the area to manage 1-3 landfills and support partner sites.
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance of well fields.
- Tune well fields and conduct pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement.
- Work with SEMs and probes, requiring substantial walking across landfills.
- Conduct environmental field sampling and data collection.
- Troubleshoot and use landfill gas reading software.
- 1+ years of experience in landfill/methane gas reading, tuning, monitoring or data migration.
- Experience with SEMs and probes is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Environmental testing skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus.
- 40 HR HAZWOPER or 8 HR Refresher is a plus.
The role is based in landfills equipped with a GCCS methane system, leading to a gas-to-energy plant. The position involves extensive walking and physical activity across the landfill sites. The company offers a professional and secure culture, ensuring low turnover rates. If traveling benefits include windshield drive time compensation for distances over 1 hour from home, a per diem of $65/day, and competitive pay rates.
Payand Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
