We are looking for an experienced
full-time
Technical Data Solutions Architect to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina asap and help drive the future of energy storage solutions. As one of our first team members, you will lead the design and implementation of data infrastructure and analytics solutions for our batter energy storage systems (BESS). You are responsible for developing scalable data architectures that support real-time monitoring, performance optimization, and predictive analytics for our energy storage assets.
In your role, you bridge the gap between technical expertise and customer needs by collaborating with sales teams, gathering and analyzing customer existing data and new data requirements, ensuring feasibility across cross-functional teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear solutions, and driving the development of innovative products while staying ahead of market trends.
- Act as a technical solution owner and communication bridge between customers, customer account manager, the PHENOGY product lead and internal teams, gathering requirements and ensuring solutions meet market needs
- Map customer expansion opportunities and create the conditions for doing more with a client
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, software development, and operations to ensure data-driven decision-making and system reliability
- Support software development for power electronics control and ensure U.S. and EU certification compliance
- Lead the development of battery storage solutions, including high-voltage, Sodium-ion, and hybrid technologies for grid and mobility applications
- Help identify, engage and train developer partners who can be channels to the market
- Design and implement end-to-end data architectures for BESS, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and visualization
- Integrate data from IoT sensors, energy management systems (BMS and EMS and third-party sources)
- Develop models and frameworks for asset performance monitoring, forecasting, and anomaly detection
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with software teams to deploy scalable and maintainable solutions
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), and big data tools
- Knowledge of energy systems, BESS, or renewable energy technologies preferred
- Strong programming skills and familiarity with data pipeline tools
