Ergonomist – Sandalwood Engineering & Ergonomics
We’re joining an inclusive team focused on helping customers reduce work‑related risks to quality, productivity, and employee health. This role works as a consultant and trusted partner in Injury Prevention, Systems Engineering & Systems Integration, guiding clients with Sandalwood’s deep expertise.
Scope of Work & Experiences- Conduct ergonomic risk analyses for a wide range of industries (manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, etc.).
- Perform ergonomic assessments using standard tools and digital human modeling, documenting detailed technical reports.
- Identify and prioritize ergonomic risks, developing actionable recommendations.
- Lead project teams and collaborate across departments.
- Develop ergonomic specifications and standards through research and literature review.
- Work with software such as Teamcenter, Process Simulate, Jack, Santos, Uof M3
DSSPP, PTC Creo, Windchill.
- 1‑3 years of industrial ergonomics experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- B.S. or M.S. in Kinesiology, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, Movement Science, Occupational Biomechanics, Ergonomics or related field.
- Certified or associate professional titles (AEP, AE, CPE) are an asset.
- Experience with ergonomic deep‑dive tools (NIOSH equations, Liberty Mutual Tables, ACGIH HAL‑TLV, RULA, REBA, Digital Human Modeling).
- Strong business communication skills, ability to present, create reports, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Customer‑focused attitude and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50 % (U.S. and potentially global).
- Must work within assigned region; may be required to work outside typical hours.
- Requires independent work with minimal supervision.
- Visa sponsorship not available.
- Additional field force and RCRA experience desired.
