Dominion Energy has an opening for a Combined Cycle Technician at the Jasper Generating Station located in Jasper County near Hilton Head, SC and Savannah, GA. There is one position available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates’ education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists in the continuous operation and maintenance of plant equipment by regularly monitoring, maintaining, and keeping records on plant equipment.
• Assists supervisor by isolating and tagging equipment for maintenance and preparing equipment for operation.
• Train and become proficient in plant systems knowledge with the goal of qualifying as a Control Room Operator.

Operating Technician I

Minimum Requirements (

Note:

A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

• Minimum of 0 – 2 years of work experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Prefer a working knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors and other related equipment.
• Must be in good physical condition with ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs or more on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to safely climb tall structures at extreme heights (fixed ladders and/or stairs up to 100 feet).
• Must be available to work after hours, scheduled overtime, and callout work, and rotating shifts.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
• Must have good communication/human relations skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Combined-Cycle Power Plant Operations experience or Industry equivalent experience in DCS Controls is preferred.

Operating Technician II

Minimum Requirements (

Note:

• Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have a working knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors and other related equipment.
• Must be in good physical condition with ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs or more on a frequent basis.
