Responsibilities- Transmission structure replacements, wire pulling, new line builds.
- Perform construction, maintenance, or repair work of transmission lines.
- Install and maintain wood poles and steel towers of all heights, including setting, framing, and installing hardware and other related materials.
- Operate and maintain vehicles and specialized equipment used in the electric utility industry.
- Safely identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit and have familiarity with induced voltage.
- Knowledge in grounding, dead ending and how to properly sag wire.
- Proficient in climbing different types of structures (wood, steel, poles, towers, etc.).
- Up to 100% travel required.
- Valid and current state Driver's License.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Valid and current Class A CDL.
- Leadership Training.
- Completion of Lineman School.
- Completion of Apprenticeship Program.
This job operates in a field environment. It routinely requires bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting (including in awkward positions), standing, and twisting. Work may occur in inclement weather, including extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. The position is physically active and may require lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision must be adequate for distance and depth perception, with good hand-eye coordination and color distinction.
