Responsibilities- Assist in managing safety and risk associated with business and company operations.
- Build the safety culture of the facility to achieve a zero‑injury workplace.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, county and local safety regulations.
- Plan, monitor and implement the company’s safety programs to maintain a safe, healthy, and injury/accident‑free work environment.
- Provide first aid/CPR in emergencies and monitor the condition of ill workers until medical help arrives.
- Observe work areas for unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to correct the issue.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist with hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of safety activities.
- Prepare reports on safety metrics and trends.
- Educate employees about safety rules, regulations, equipment usage, and accident prevention techniques.
- Prepare workers for emergencies by conducting fire drills and evacuation simulations.
- Maintain records of accidents, injuries, and near misses to help prevent future incidents.
- Train new workers in safety procedures and perform routine inspections to ensure compliance.
- Ensure supervisors are enforcing safety rules in their area.
- Initiate, document, and monitor corrective actions for adherence to safety systems.
- Oversee and train employees to competency in forklift handling, overhead crane operations up to 100T, aerial and scissor lift operations, and telehandler operations.
- Great communication skills to convey information and instructions clearly.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Time‑management skills.
- Ability to work under general supervision and report to a supervisor or manager.
- High school diploma required with 2‑5 years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Experience or training in forklift handling, overhead crane operations, aerial and scissor lift operations, and telehandler operations is an asset.

- PUSHING/PULLING REQUIREMENTS: 50 pounds with assistance
- SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Hard hat in required areas, safety shoes, and safety glasses
Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
