Job Purpose
The Coordinator of Student Engagement is responsible for directing campus life for students, including clubs and organizations, student events, and activities, to enhance the growth and development of students by providing social, cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities for students to engage with the campus and the community.
Job Responsibilities- Plan, implement, administer, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate campus initiatives, activities, events, and programs that foster student engagement, sense of belonging, and success.
- Serve as the Mascot Event Coordinator to manage the mascots' schedule/calendar for both on and off campus appearances. Supervise mascots' contract and compensation, costume, including acting as a substitute handler as needed. Recruit, hire, and train mascots and handlers.
- Serves as the advisor of the Student Government Association, and assists students and advisors in creating, administering, and promoting student clubs and organizations in accordance with College policies and procedures. Leads efforts to promote student leadership development.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate annual student events including, but not limited to the graduation ceremony, awards ceremonies, and other events as needed.
- Ensure that all student engagement, career, and special events are marketed to students using College software systems, flyers, and social media. Submit all event details in a timely manner to the designated marketing request system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or a bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience in student services programs.
