Adjunct Construction Instructor

Overview

Northeastern Technical College will be providing NCCER accredited training programs that provide people with the basic skills and confidence needed to pursue a career as a skilled craft professional. This instructor position provides ongoing classroom instruction and facilitation of a core curriculum to a class of adult learners. Training on curriculum will be provided. The instructor will aid in the growth of this program by delivering classroom instruction on an ongoing basis.

Topics of the curriculum include:
Basic Safety, Construction Math, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Communication Skills, Employability Skills, and Material Handling. Teaching will occur during the day and some evenings.

• Provide ongoing classroom instruction and facilitation of NCCER core curriculum to adult learners.
• Deliver classroom instruction on an ongoing basis to support program growth.
• Cover topics including Basic Safety, Construction Math, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Communication Skills, Employability Skills, and Material Handling.
• Conduct classes during the day and some evenings as needed.
• Coordinate adjunct placement and scheduling, including campus locations based on availability and need.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years of experience in industrial, construction, or other technical trades (e.g., Millwright, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Electrician, Instrumentation Technician, general construction) or in project management.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform essential duties.
• Completion of NCCER trade training with Level 1 and Level 2 may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
