Position Summary

Open Rank Professor in School Psychology. The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a tenure‑track position of open‑rank in School Psychology focusing on child and adolescent mental health. The School Psychology PhD Concentration at USC currently includes faculty dedicated to CAMH, SBH programming, and community‑school partnerships. The department seeks a candidate with leadership experience, a record of high‑impact research, and teaching excellence who can pursue external grants and contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching.

Education and Experience

The position requires a Ph.D. in school psychology or a related field and a demonstrated record of high‑impact research productivity, leadership experience in school psychology, and excellence in teaching at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with interest in working with racially or ethnically diverse populations, scholarship focusing on CAMH, effective school behavioral health programming, and community‑school partnerships are preferred. Preference is given to faculty who are at the associate or full rank, from APA accredited school psychology programs or closely related disciplines, and who demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and multicultural humility.
