Teacher K-5 / Navigator

POLARIS TECH CHARTER SCHOOL is seeking K-5th Teacher/Navigators for the 2026-27 school year. The role involves joining an outstanding education team to unleash student potential and cultivate aspirations, where students are career‑focused, college‑ready, and invested in the community.

• Create a rigorous but supportive environment and hold all students to high academic expectations.
• Use data to assess progress and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Personalize instruction by acknowledging varied strengths, learning preferences, and supporting universal design principles.
• Engage in professional development and foster a growth mindset, encouraging students to take risks and learn from successes and failures.
• Collaborate with other Navigators to promote interdisciplinary studies.
• Support and guide parents and students, applying effective evaluation techniques.

• Certification in the subject area (South Carolina or reciprocity state).
• Experience with Power School.
• Experience in project‑based learning is preferred.
• Experience with iReady is preferred.
• Ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g., database and web‑based tools).
• Outstanding references from current and former supervisors.
• Satisfactory SLED report.
