Teacher First Grade 2026‑2027 School Year
Be the one who makes a difference! Vertex Education seeks a passionate General Education Teacher to inspire first‑grade students through a focused, accelerated curriculum. The role requires direct instruction in Spalding (reading & writing) and en Vision Math, along with individualized learning plans.
Responsibilities- Implement engaging, student‑centered lessons that promote active learning and academic growth.
- Differentiate instruction and modify resources to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special needs.
- Utilize direct instruction techniques to support the social, physical, and intellectual development of primary school students.
- Assess student progress, analyze curricular effectiveness, and develop improvement plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely record‑keeping procedures for instruction and student growth.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment and model professional and ethical standards.
- Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and performance evaluation processes.
- Perform light physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and traveling to other campuses as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain within six months of employment (AZ only).
- Pass a criminal history background check.
- Current teaching certificate issued in the state of employment.
