Full‑Time Substitute FY 25-26 – POLARIS TECH CHARTER SCHOOL

Polaris Tech Charter School is looking for a full‑time substitute teacher for the  school year. We seek educators who will join our outstanding team to unleash student potential and cultivate aspirations, where students are career-focused, college-ready, and invested in the community.

• Create a rigorous but supportive environment, holding all students to high academic expectations.
• Use evidence of achieving goals to help students meet expectations, differentiating instruction across student needs.
• Recognize and differentiate instruction based on pacing, student strengths, and learning preferences.
• Apply universal design principles and adapt instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student.
• Show a growth mindset, enhancing skills through professional development and encouraging students to take risks.

• Experience with iReady is preferred
• Power School Experience
• Willingness to work with other navigators to ensure learning continues when you are out
• Ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g., database and web-based tools)
• Ability to support and guide parents as well as students
• Knowledge of effective & innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques
• Ability to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents, navigators, staff and the community
• Outstanding references from current & former supervisors
• Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
