Job Summary:
Charleston Collegiate School is seeking a Lower School Substitute for grades a PreK through 8th grade. Successful candidates will be creative, energetic, and highly skilled teachers who are passionate about student-centered, collaborative, experiential learning. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching elementary school students.
Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) is an independent day school which strives to recognize, nurture, and challenge each of its students. Qualifications:
- A deep commitment to equity and diversity.

- Experience with experiential education and project-based learning, especially in developing and adapting curriculum for group projects with learning goals in mind.
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and growth mindset
- A willingness to participate in student-life activities e.g., advisory, club leadership, coaching, after-school programs
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject discipline, e.g., Education or mathematics.
- A minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience

- The ability to teach other subject disciplines and elective courses
