Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM No after-hours or weekend call required On-call rotation:
Each provider rotates hospital call every other week Work Details:
Outpatient:
Morning clinic hours with an average daily census of 14 patients Inpatient:
Afternoon hospital rounds for consults and procedures as necessary Practice Setting:
Environment:
Work alongside 1 physician and 2 mid-level providers Supported by a team of 2 Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), 2 Registered Nurses (RNs), 2 registration staff members, and 1 office supervisor Office does not have on-site lab or X-ray facilities Requires both outpatient and inpatient experience Procedures:
Upper GI Endoscopy:
With biopsy With foreign body removal With fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser) With banding of varices With PEG (preferred) Esophageal dilatation/manometry Small bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy:
Sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision Equipment:
Pill camera available for procedures Requirements:
Board Certification:
Must be board-certified in Gastroenterology Licensure:
Active South Carolina medical license required, but willing to license the right candidate

Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support) required DEA license required South Carolina Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Gastroenterology required Proficiency with EPIC charting system is essential Travel and Accommodation:
