We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Pediatrics. As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services in the field of pediatrics. This position is vital for ensuring continuity of care for pediatric patients and supporting healthcare facilities during staff shortages. You will be involved in a variety of pediatric projects, contributing to the well-being of young patients and their families.

As a Locum MD in Pediatrics, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse medical cases, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make a positive impact on the health outcomes of children. Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care to pediatric patients in various settings.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions in children.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress.
  • Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Participate in rounds, case conferences, and other team meetings.
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Pediatrics.
  • Valid state medical license.
  • Proven experience working as a Pediatrician.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Level I nursery

Schedule:

24-hour beeper call (8a-8a), specific dates

Annual Volume: ~600 deliveries

Daily Volume: 3-5 patients

Duties:
Emergent care and stabilization of ill newborns of any viable gestational age and routine care of healthy newborns

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Paid travel & expenses
