Usability Designer II

Job Opportunity in Columbia, SC. Join our dynamic team in Columbia, SC, and contribute to the creation of a modern UI experience for business users in the Commercial Systems Claims and Membership sector. This role is pivotal in designing and potentially developing the front-end experience and workflow for our users.

• Work with project teams to enhance or build UI interface applications for our client's business.
• Understand business needs along with IS development goals for the future.
• Engage heavily in customer interaction for feedback on the applications being built.
• Collaborate with development teams, ask clarifying questions, and provide recommended approaches based on experience.
• Demonstrate the ability to integrate the look and feel between two applications that are tightly coupled but separate.

• Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Behavioral Research, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another job-related degree.
• Alternatively, 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate's degree in the relevant fields.
• 2 years of user interface design experience.
• Solid experience with the Figma UI design tool and an understanding of JavaScript-based applications.
• Nice to Have:
  JavaScript development experience, Node.js, and Vue.js development. These are bonuses if the candidate possesses these capabilities.

• Be a critical part of the Usability Design of two major UI applications for Commercial Systems.
• One application is constructed and being enhanced, while the other is being initially built.
• Design a seamless and consistent user experience between the two applications.
• Work with highly collaborative teams striving to achieve a common goal of creating a power user experience for our business partners.
• Utilize development skills if the candidate possesses them.
