Blossoms Events is a full-service event design and production company based in Murrells Inlet, SC. We specialize in unforgettable weddings and bespoke private events, designing and building bespoke installations from custom bars, seating and dance floors to floral installations, signage, and large-scale decorative structures. We’re a tight-knit team of creatives who love bringing big ideas to life–and having fun doing it.

We curate extraordinary experiences that combine artistry, innovation, and flawless execution. Our events are known for their sophisticated aesthetics, meticulous attention to detail, and personalized guest experiences.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Floral Design Manager / Lead Floral Designer to oversee floral design and execution from concept through installation. This role blends artistic leadership with hands‑on production, team management, and operational coordination. The Floral Design Manager will set the creative standard for floral work, lead a team of designers and assistants, and ensure all floral deliverables meet brand, quality, and budget expectations.

This position is ideal for a senior designer who thrives in fast‑paced event environments, can confidently lead others, and has a strong eye for detail, structure, and scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creative execution of floral designs for events, installations, and styled environments
  • Translate design concepts, inspiration boards, and client visions into cohesive, scalable floral plans
  • Establish floral recipes, mechanics, and styling standards for consistency across events
  • Make final design decisions regarding flower selection, color palettes, proportions, and finishes
  • Lead, mentor, and train floral designers, assistants, and freelance team members
  • Assign tasks and manage workflows during studio production and event load‑ins
  • Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and on‑the‑job training to develop team skills
  • Maintain a calm, organized, and solution‑oriented leadership presence during high‑pressure installs
  • Oversee and actively participate in floral production, installation, and breakdown
  • Ensure proper mechanics, safety, and structural integrity of all floral elements
  • Problem‑solve in real time on‑site to adapt designs as needed
  • Coordinate closely with production, fabrication, and installation teams
Operational & Studio Management
  • Oversee flower processing, conditioning, and inventory management
  • Collaborate on floral sourcing, ordering, and quantity planning to meet design and budget goals
  • Maintain studio organization, cleanliness, and tool readiness
  • Assist in managing floral waste, efficiencies, and sustainability practices
  • Work closely with creative directors, project managers, and leadership teams
  • Participate in internal design reviews and production planning meetings
  • Conduct client walkthroughs, tastings, or mockups as needed
  • Represent the company with professionalism on‑site and with partners
Required Qualifications
  • 4‑5+ years of professional floral design experience, with event‑focused work required
  • Proven experience leading teams or acting as a senior/lead floral designer
  • Advanced knowledge of floral mechanics, large‑scale installations, and flower care
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends, and event days
  • Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform physical installation work
  • Experience managing multiple events or projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership presence with a collaborative, hands‑on approach
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and creative adaptability
  • High level of attention to detail and quality control
  • Confident decision‑maker who can balance creativity, logistics, and budget
What Makes This Special
  • You’ll help invent the way each event looks—not just execute a pre‑set plan
  • No two projects are the same; creativity and ingenuity are valued as much as technical skill
  • Your ideas, material choices, and craftsmanship will be visible and celebrated
  • You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary creative team producing high‑end, immersive environments
Preferred
  • Background in live events, weddings, experiential marketing, large‑scale installations or other…
