Hood Construction is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on our commercial projects. Your RoleAs a Superintendent, you’ll be the primary on-site leader
, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to Hood’s high standards
. You’ll oversee all daily field activities, manage subcontractors and vendors, and uphold jobsite safety.
Your work will include:
- Leading and managing field personnel
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections
- Monitoring the project schedule and controlling costs
- Reviewing and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Running site meetings and maintaining clear communication with project teams and clients
- Performing quality control checks and documenting daily progress in construction management software
- Supporting all phases of construction—from preconstruction planning to final punch list
We’re looking for a superintendent with:
- 5–7 years of experience supervising commercial construction projects
- A proven track record of leading teams and managing multi-trade workflows
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction sequencing
- Proficiency with platforms such as Procore, Plan Grid, or similar tools
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
