Construction Superintendent
Hood Construction is growing, and we’re seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead our commercial projects from the field. This is an opportunity for a motivated construction professional who excels at on-site leadership, thrives in fast-moving environments, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary on‑site leader, overseeing all daily field operations and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to exacting quality and safety standards.
- Supervise field personnel, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and maintain schedule and cost controls.
- Interpret construction drawings, track project documentation, and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
- Lead site meetings, conduct quality control inspections, and document daily progress using industry‑standard project‑management software.
- Engage in every phase of the build—from preconstruction through final punch list—to keep projects moving forward.
- 5–7 years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, multi‑trade projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, inspections, and project sequencing.
- Proficiency with construction‑management tools such as Procore, Plan Grid, or similar platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
