$80,000-$100,000 + 5% bonus
We’re supporting a US-based industrial business in the search for a Payroll Manager to take full ownership of payroll operations. Reporting into the Head of HR Operations, this role sits within a high performing and collaborative HR function.
This is a hands-on, accountability-heavy role in a business with a complex pay environment and a high-performing sales population.
The RoleYou’ll own end-to-end payroll for a ~320-employee population, with a heavy emphasis on variable compensation, commissions, and incentives

Key responsibilities include:
Full ownership of bi-weekly payroll
, including ~70 hourly employees paid in arrearsManaging payroll data flow from ADP Payroll Services into downstream systems
Reviewing, validating, and correcting payroll data where system translations fall short
Supporting sales incentive plans, commissions, and bonus calculations
Resolving historical issues around SIP earnings, missed increases, and pay accuracy
Partnering closely with compliance, finance, and customer service stakeholders
Overseeing travel & expense processes (Concur, corporate cards, reimbursements)
Supporting GL coordination and backup processes (manual checks when required)
ADP Payroll Services (timesheets, I-9s, payroll processing)
JD Edwards (E1)
Concur (T&E)
Wells Fargo (corporate cards, payments)
Proven payroll ownership experience in a multi-pay type environment
Strong exposure to sales commissions, variable pay, and incentive plans
Detail-driven mindset with the confidence to challenge data and ensure accuracy
Comfortable operating as the go-to payroll authority
Strong customer service instincts – payroll issues get resolved, not escalated
