This position is in the Data Governance Office / Data Access, at SCDMV Headquarters, Blythewood, SC.
Responsibilities- Manages and coordinates processing of external data requests received through various channels. Ensures new data customer accounts are established. Ensures automated bulk data and Employee Notification System (ENS) reports are provided according to the contract or MOA agreements.
- Maintains customer account history and details to ensure contracts are kept current and notifies the appropriate personnel when updates are required.
- Participates in the agency’s data governance process and assists in the development and implementation of data governance policies, procedures and business practices.
- Provides reports on data access customers and information as requested.
- Provides team leadership responsibilities for data access request meetings as requested.
- Coordinates with others to ensure FOIA requests are completed according to standards as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
- Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include fingerprinting.
- In-depth knowledge of agency policies, procedures, rules, regulations and SCDMV services.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to apply problem solving techniques to resolve issues.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate the establishment/processing and management of external accounts.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and the use of Microsoft products.
- Must be able to perform job functions under minimal supervision.
- Reports status to supervisor or manager.
- Receives general guidance from supervisor or manager; may have project or team leadership responsibilities.
- Works in a general office environment sitting for prolonged periods of time and significant time is spent at a computer.
- May require overnight travel and extended hours outside of normal scheduled hours.
- A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
