Position DescriptionUnder general supervision, this staff position supports program projects for the School of Medicine‑Columbia South Carolina Center for Rural and Primary Healthcare. The role works closely with the Center’s directors and program managers to execute project plans, establish timelines, monitor milestones, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities- Coordinate Center programs focused on healthcare delivery, including mobile units, telehealth, and other delivery programs.
- Assist program managers with technical assistance, administrative support, onsite visits, and liaison functions.
- Support project impact assessment with the Center Research and Evaluation team and report progress to the Program Officer.
- Plan and coordinate non‑healthcare delivery projects, schedule meetings, document action items, and monitor follow‑ups using Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- Develop topic‑specific surveys and data collection tools (Survey Monkey, REDCap, in‑person surveys, focus groups, key informant interviews). Support summary reporting and dissemination.
- Assist the administrative support team in reporting on funded programs via Submittable and support distribution of materials through the Center’s social media accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a job‑related field; no prior work experience required, which may be substituted with equivalent certification, training, education, or experience.
- Preferred: experience in program coordination and project management, familiarity with public health or health care systems, and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Experience with computer‑based documentation and communication.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Adherence to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
