Part-Time/Temporary, Library Technical Assistant, 20 hours/week at $20/hour, USCA Gregg-Graniteville Library

Under the supervision of the Access Services and Government Information Librarian, the part‑time library assistant works in coordination with other library staff to manage the day‑to‑day operation of the library’s Access Services Department. The library assistant provides clerical support and public service to both members of the USCA campus and the broader community. The position helps provide service desk and building coverage during library hours and is responsible for exceptional customer service.

The 20‑hour position includes a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Some scheduling flexibility is available, as hours are coordinated across a team.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with 4 years of library work experience.
  • Basic data entry and/or word processing skills.
  • Aptitude for accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to carry out detailed procedures and work independently in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs of library materials/equipment in a cart/dolly; lift, stretch, bend to retrieve and/or shelve library materials.
