Work Schedule: The Box Office is open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This position will also work nights and weekends as needed.
Job SummaryThe Koger Center for the Arts is accepting applications for Assistant Box Office Manager. This position will work with all aspects of box office operations and will administer the Box Office Ticketing system.
Minimum RequiredEducation and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 or more years of job‑related experience. Equivalent combinations of education, training, certification, and experience may qualify.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree and 6 years related box office experience. Prior experience in a performing arts box office is preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities- Working knowledge of computerized ticketing system.
- Cash handling experience, including balancing back to daily reports.
- Supervisory experience.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Assist the Box Office Manager in coordinating all box office operations.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels of 10–12 part‑time employees.
- Build events in the in‑house ticketing system, accounting for all ticket prices and discounts, as requested by event promoter.
- Communicate with promoters regularly, providing ticket counts and accommodating ticketing needs.
- Ensure a satisfied and well‑informed public.
- Accurately balance daily ticket sales and prepare bank deposits.
- Assist part‑time staff with cash handling and ticketing processes, providing training and support.
- Ensure compliance with PCI regulations and conduct regular workstation inspections.
- Act as system administrator of the ticketing system, coordinate software upgrades, monitor system processes, and provide training after upgrades.
- Maintain accurate event information on the website.
- Report system errors and work with the ticketing system vendor to resolve them.
