Data Preparation Technician I – Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina
Performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. Duties include photocopying, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information, distributing mail, maintaining records, preparing forms, verifying information, and resolving routine problems.

Location:
17 Technology Circle, Columbia, SC 29203. This is a full-time (40‑hour/week) position conducted Monday‑Friday during normal business hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Occasional overtime or travel between buildings may be required.
- Sort and distribute incoming departmental mail or work requests. Verify required information is available and request missing documentation.
- Scan, image, and index documents. Prepare correspondence or packages for internal/external mailing.
- Maintain departmental logs, spreadsheets or databases.
- Track supply inventory and place orders as needed.
- Assist other staff members in related duties as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No previous work experience required.
- Standard office equipment proficiency.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Previous office experience.
