Job Summary

Enrollment Management Central Office (EMCO)

If you are attentive to detail, innovative, resourceful and intrinsically motivated, please consider joining our team! We are a hard-working group who enjoy providing superior service to our customers. Enrollment Management employs over 200 FTE’s and RGP’s, around 250 student workers per semester, and 50 temporary faculty and staff.

The Enrollment Management Central Office is a shared-services model business office that serves the needs of the seven offices within Enrollment Management. EMCO’s serves the needs of the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Enrollment Data Analytics, Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, New Student Orientation, Registrar, TRIO Programs and Visitor Center.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work experience, particularly in college or university business office settings, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of University of South Carolina budgeting policies, procedures, financial systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to analyze data, perform multiple tasks and solve complex financial problems.
  • Ability to understand and comply with policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Considerable computer mastery with specific knowledge of other Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat is essential.
  • Comprehension of financial record keeping procedures, laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information are required. Must be sensitive to the private nature of personnel and financial information.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, the capacity to learn web-based financial and HR systems, and the ability to correctly interpret USC policies and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and sustain positive working relationships with staff, co-workers, and other internal constituents across campus.
  • Ability to manage sensitive personnel and financial situations and information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately manage time and prioritize tasks is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks of a varied nature.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with little direction as well as collaboratively within a team.
