Controller (Construction Accounting & Operations)

W.B. Guimarin & Co., Inc. is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Controller to support and strengthen our construction accounting and financial operations. This role partners closely with the CFO, Project Managers, and accounting staff to ensure accurate reporting, healthy cash flow, and efficient financial processes.

We’re looking for a steady, analytical professional who enjoys building organized systems, supporting operational teams, and improving processes in a growing company.

• Prepare and oversee AIA billing, WIP schedules, and bond reporting
• Support strong cash flow management through AR/AP oversight and weekly payables planning
• Ensure accurate job setup, budgeting, and change order tracking in Jonas
• Assist the CFO with monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Help strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting workflows
• Coordinate with our third-party IT provider and oversee company devices and technology needs to ensure systems run smoothly and securely
• Work closely with Project Managers to provide accurate, timely job cost reporting

• 5-10 years of accounting experience required, construction focused accounting preferred
• Bachelors in Accounting or equivalent
• CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of AIA billing and WIP schedules
• Understanding of job costing and general ledger processes
• Experience with Jonas Accounting would be a great additional skillset but not required.
