Location: Marion

As an Accounting Specialist, you’ll be the backbone of our Finance team—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and integrity in every transaction. From managing vendor relationships to keeping our books balanced, you’ll play a critical role in driving smooth financial operations across multiple business units. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact every day while working in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify vendor and intercompany invoices for accurate account coding prior to processing.
  • Validate invoice quantities and unit prices against purchase orders and receipt documentation.
  • Maintain accuracy in recording expenses for multiple business units and brands.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and inquiries related to accounts payable.
  • Accurately input invoices and validate accounting codes.
  • Prepare and process weekly payment batches; maintain organized records of paid invoices.
  • Post payments, including checks and wire transfers, to the accounting system.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies and approval processes.
  • Download, review, and validate electronic expense reports in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Manage annual 1099 reporting and maintain W-9 documentation.
  • Support accounts receivable by processing miscellaneous invoices and credit memos.
  • Track and reconcile prepaid expenses.
  • Prepare monthly Sales & Use tax reports and file returns.
  • Prepare journal entries, conduct monthly accrual activities, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements Education & Experience
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • 6–12 months of general accounting experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certifications
  • None required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.

  • Occasional:

    Bending, climbing stairs, lifting up to 30 lbs., pushing/pulling, reaching, stooping, walking, writing.
