Joining H&R Block as an experienced Bookkeeper
, you’ll deliver exceptional bookkeeping, payroll, and customer service. You’ll be an integral part of delivering on our brand purpose to provide help and inspire communities everywhere.

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s, and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or ability to obtain them.
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations.
• Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Analytical skills and eye for detail.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, capable of multitasking and working independently.

• Experience with Xero accounting software.
