Patient Account Representative

Overview

Onsite training will be required for the first 90 days of employment located at our office in South Burlington, VT. At the conclusion of the training this will be a hybrid position.

• The Patient Account Representative functions independently within a payer team environment to appropriately resolve patient accounts by performing billing and follow-up activities to effectively collect balances due on assigned accounts.
• The expertise of each PAR enables the team to maximize hospital reimbursement while maintaining favorable public relations.
• The PAR is assigned a specific portion of the Accounts Receivable and is held accountable for the activity within the assigned A/R.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent;
  Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Billing experience preferred; health insurance background highly preferred; basic computer skills are required.
