Overview

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital is hiring for a Part‑Time, Day shift Same Day Surgery Registered Nurse.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, evaluation). The standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice & nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, environmental health) guide the RN’s actions. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
