Overview
The Town of South Boston is seeking qualified candidates to serve as its next Assistant Town Manager. Candidates should be committed to being a part of a highly performing management team and possess exceptional customer service and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be well versed in municipal operations such as police, fire, public works, finance and planning and zoning. It is preferred that candidates have a bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field and experience as a manager or department director.
Salary and BenefitsThe annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The Town offers a generous benefit package including 90% of premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance for the employee, generous sick and vacation leave, and participation in the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).
