Job OverviewIrish Management is seeking a reliable, self-starting Home Repair & Maintenance Specialist to maintain and elevate the quality of our short-term rental properties. This isn’t just a fix-it job—it’s a trusted, essential role on a team that takes ownership, solves problems, and keeps guest and owner experience top-of-mind. Applicants must be availability between 9:00/10:00 AM
-4:00/5:00 PM, with the ability to stay later if troubleshooting. We're looking for someone with real-world maintenance experience who can spot issues, take initiative, and communicate clearly with a team.
- Walk-through properties and complete light repairs proactively
- Fix minor plumbing, electrical, drywall, and carpentry issues
- Install and troubleshoot Ring, August, and other smart home tech
- Maintain pools and hot tubs (test water, balance chemicals)
- Complete owner-requested tasks like caulking, painting, furniture assembly, and more
- Identify issues before they become problems—think like a guest, act like an owner
- Watch You Tube or Google solutions before escalating
- Use available tools and resources first before asking for help
- Tackle each task with a solution-first mindset
- Ask questions when needed—but don’t stop moving forward
- Take clear before/after photos and leave detailed notes for teammates
- Flag incomplete tasks and communicate progress without dropping the ball
- Notify the team of planned time off in advance—don’t ghost or call out last minute
- Speak with respect to owners, guests, teammates, and vendors
- Care for tools, properties, and time like they’re your own
- Don’t walk past a messy pillow or trample through flower beds—details matter
- Show up when you say you will, and take pride in every job done right
- Availability between 9/10:00 AM - 4/5 PM
, with the ability to stay later if troubleshooting - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Hands-on experience in handyman or general maintenance roles
- Basic understanding of home systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, smart tech)
- Ability to work alone, troubleshoot on the fly, and see tasks through
- Strong communication, follow-through, and documentation habits
- Comfortable using tech tools to stay in sync with the team
