Registered Nurse​/CVOR

* CVOR candidates may be floated to the main OR if there aren t any heart cases

Call Requirements: 2-3 overnight shifts per week, every 3rd weekend, holiday rotation

Ratios:
There will never be more than one patient per case. In open heart (CVOR) cases there are typically 2 circulating RN s and 2 additional team members, either CST or RN the scrub the case. In surgeries of other specialties, there may be 1 RN and 1-3 scrub people depending on the specific case. These may be other RN s, CST s, RNFA s, NP s, PA s, etc.

The traditional RN to patient ratios that exist in inpatient nursing are not used in surgery

Special Requirements :
Has to rate themselves 3 or higher on the majority of the cardiovascular cases that are listed and needs Cerner experience . Open heart experience needed, scrub experience would be ideal. CVOR candidates must be okay with floating to main OR if there are not any heart cases.

* Would the traveler be open to floating between MHSB and EGH? This is primarily for their open heart team call coverage on the weekends and occasionally for weekday staffing. This is NOT required
