Position SummaryThe Marketing Director provides strategic leadership for all marketing, branding, and communications efforts at the South Bend Kroc Center. This role oversees the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that enhance programs, strengthen community engagement, and advance The Salvation Army’s mission.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a multi-channel, integrated marketing and branding strategy in collaboration with the Kroc Center Executive Leadership Team
- Lead, supervise, and support the Marketing Team
- Direct relationships with vendors for printing, promotional materials, and marketing services
- Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns; report on ROI related to membership, program enrollment, fundraising, and sponsor ships
- Oversee public relations strategy and media engagement
- Guide the creation of marketing materials including program guides, facility collateral, website content, and social media
- Direct digital marketing strategy, including website, social media, and email communications
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and marketing industry partners
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years of marketing experience, including multimedia strategies
- At least one (1) year of direct staff supervision
Certifications & Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Salvation Army driver qualification standards
- Completion of Safe From Harm and CPR training within the first 30 days of employment
- Successful completion of a background check
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience producing marketing communications such as press releases, direct mail, and promotional materials
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn electronic reporting systems
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with leadership, staff, and the public
- Oversees the Marketing Team
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat as needed
- Prolonged periods of standing may be required
- Office-based role with occasional evening and weekend hours
- Travel as required
