Position Overview
As a Data Center Technician, you will support server rack power‑up operations within data center environments. This role is ideal for individuals with basic to intermediate electrical skills and a general understanding of electrical systems and operations. You will be expected to work independently when appropriate while also following detailed instructions and established procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Support server rack power‑up operations across one or more data center locations
- Follow all safety standards and procedures while performing work
- Adapt to changing schedules based on site needs, including nights and weekends
- Work shifts of up to 12 hours, which may rotate on a predefined schedule
- Support multiple sites as required
Work Environment Requirements
- Walk job sites with uneven terrain and maintain balance while performing tasks
- Perform work on ladders and stairs
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 39 pounds unassisted; participate in team lifts for items over 40 pounds
- Regularly perform physical activities including walking, standing, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and working above shoulder height
- Use hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and materials
- 1+ year of electrical experience
- Technical training (Military or Trade School)
- Experience or education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Contract position based out of South Bend, IN
- Pay range: $23.00 - $24.00/hr
