Responsible for managing medium to large sized projects using traditional and agile methods in a fast‑paced environment that may cross multiple business units.
Works to plan, organize, and direct project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to users. The Enterprise Project Manager III (EPMIII) will oversee all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The EPMIII is accountable for planning and allocating resources, scheduling working sessions with the team, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Serves as trainer and mentor for junior managers, as well as a key ambassador engaging with other departments on behalf of the PMO.
- Defines project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
- Develops detailed project plans when applicable.
- Organizes and leads project status and working meetings.
- Prepares and distributes progress reports.
- Manages project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
- Corrects deviations from plans.
- Performs delivery planning for assigned projects.
- Leverages organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
- Manages stakeholder communications.
- Ensures that all team members have clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinates project team efforts in evaluating new technology.
- Performs risk management analysis to reduce project risks.
- Responsible for managing a combination of medium to large sized projects; provides project updates to Department Manager as needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
- Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
- Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS- Fifteen (15) or more years of banking experience and/or technology environment required.
- Ten (10) or more years of experience as a Project Manager managing medium to large projects in a high‑tech development environment with multi‑function teams preferred.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
- Strong balance of business and technical concepts.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills including collaborating, and team building.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
- Ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
Bachelor’s degree required in a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
CERTIFICATIONCAPM or PMP Certification required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSMinimal or occasional travel for meetings, projects, seminars or training as needed.
