Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Allied Physicians Surgery Center LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. The role is full‑time with a flexible schedule Monday–Friday and occasional weekend work.

Salary: $20.36 – $25.03 per hour. Sign‑on bonus of $1,000, plus $500 after 6 months and $500 after one year of continuous employment.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, including painting, drywall repairs, minor plumbing, light bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, and other minor repairs. The role also includes maintaining security for staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff, as directed by the Supervisor or designee, for the Center and its associated structures.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment carts.
  • Switch O2/CO2 tanks and medical air gas.
  • Run errands for the company as needed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external contractors regarding building maintenance.
  • Perform outdoor maintenance tasks, including snow removal and salting.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance (PM) logs for:
    • Ice machines
    • Refrigerators/freezers
    • Wheelchairs
    • Emergency lighting
  • Clean air vents.
  • Power wash operating room mats.
  • Install, maintain, repair, and assemble products and furniture.
  • Participate in the Center's Quality Improvement Program, identifying opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
  • Attend all Center meetings and educational sessions.
  • Conduct visual inspections of mechanical and maintenance areas at the start and end of each shift.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare professionals and personnel.
  • Ability to work independently, organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet the Center's objectives.
  • Ability to operate snow blowers, various hand tools, and power tools.
  • Knowledge of minor electrical, plumbing, plaster, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Basic understanding of heating and cooling systems is a plus.
Schedule

Flexible, Monday–Friday, some weekends as needed.
