Job Description

Database and Applications Developer will design, develop, support, and document applications and integrations for clients throughout Everwise. The incumbent will provide analytical services and technical solutions to meet business needs, facilitating holistic business analysis and reporting of vital Key Performance Indicators. The incumbent will connect various business systems and data silos, working with business leaders to understand needs and effectively communicate technical solutions.

The Database and Applications Developer assists in maintaining data integrity and support data governance policies.

The Database & Applications Developer is a senior level technical position responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of Everwise's enterprise data environment. This role supports both the organization's existing Microsoft SQL-based data platforms and the ongoing transition to a modern, cloud native data architecture. Working closely with the Senior Data Engineer, this position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of knowledge, operational stability, and longterm sustainability of critical data assets.

This role is intended to mitigate keyperson risk by supporting the documentation and transition of institutional and technical knowledge, while also contributing directly to modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced, handson professional with strong technical depth, the ability to work effectively across legacy and emerging platforms, and a collaborative approach to knowledge sharing, process improvement, and team support within a growing Data & Analytics organization.

• Design, develop, support, and document applications, tools, integrations, and related databases, aligning with Everwise's programming, security, and design standards.
• Create ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to support data integration needs.
• Build reporting solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) based on user needs and available information.
• Prepare and analyze data, including locating, profiling, cleansing, extracting, mapping, importing, transforming, validating, and modeling data to drive business objectives.
• Assist database and software developers in building optimized databases for applications.
• Write optimized SQL queries and stored procedures for integration with other applications.
• Develop reports, Key Performance Indicators, and dashboards that meet reporting needs, with an emphasis on clear data presentation to support decision‑making.
• Analyze client needs, identifying opportunities and problems to define effective solutions within Everwise's structure, technology, resources, and user capabilities.
• Data Governance:
  Assist in enforcing data validation rules and supporting data governance policies to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Engage in full‑stack development, working with C#/.NET for web‑based applications and React and other JavaScript frameworks.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience with SSIS and SSRS is required.
• 1 + years' experience developing solutions using Microsoft SQL Server is required.
• 1 + years' experience in C#/.NET web‑based development experience required.
• Experience with SQL and approaches to designing and using relational databases.
• Web Services and API experience required.
• Familiarity with application security and defensive coding skills required.
• Client‑side web technologies: CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Ajax (frameworks like React a plus) preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure is preferred.
• Knowledge of Service Now, TFS, Azure Dev Ops is preferred.
