Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on IT Help Desk & Cybersecurity Compliance Manager to support day-to-day IT operations across multiple company locations while assisting with cybersecurity and CMMC Level 2 compliance efforts.
This role is primarily help desk–focused and serves as the main point of contact for employee IT support, new-hire technology setup, system access, and ongoing maintenance. Additionally, this position supports cybersecurity documentation, user compliance, and coordination with external IT providers to ensure alignment with CMMC Level 2 and government contract requirements.
The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, troubleshooting technology, staying organized, and contributing to a secure IT environment within a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities- Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Support CMMC Level 2 and NIST 800-171 compliance efforts
- Assist in maintaining:
- System Security Plan (SSP)
- POA&M documentation
- Evidence and compliance repositories
- Enforce security best practices related to:
- Access control
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Endpoint security
- Support employee cybersecurity training and annual compliance acknowledgments
- Coordinate with vendors on cybersecurity tools (EDR, patching systems, logging solutions, etc.)
- IT Vendor & Systems Coordination
- Act as internal liaison with outsourced IT providers and managed service providers (MSPs)
- Escalate complex issues and track resolution through completion
- Ensure IT and cybersecurity controls are implemented consistently across all sites
- Support audits, assessments, and documentation requests
- Documentation & Governance
- Maintain organized IT and cybersecurity documentation
- Assist with policy updates related to:
- Acceptable use
- Access management
- Data protection
- Ensure IT processes align with company security and compliance standards
- Experience supporting cybersecurity frameworks (CMMC, NIST 800-171 preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows environments, networking, and end-user systems
- Experience coordinating with third-party IT vendors or MSPs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration (nice to have)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing or multi-site environment
- Experience in government contracting or regulated industries
- Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools
- Experience supporting compliance documentation and audit preparation
- Security+ or similar cybersecurity certification (preferred)
